Protein Packed Blueberry Bagels

Posted by Matt Grimm on

Ingredients:
325 g Self-Rising Flour
3 scoops Designer Wellness Designer Egg Protein Powder - Classic Vanilla
1⁄2 t Baking Powder
1⁄2 t Salt
395 g Nonfat Greek Yogurt
85 g Frozen Blueberries - Thawed and Drained
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, Designer Egg Protein Powder, baking
powder, and salt. Add the yogurt and stir until a thick dough forms.
3. Gently fold in Blueberries until just combined. If dough is sticky, add 1-2 tablespoons of
additional flour as needed.
4. On a clean working surface, sprinkle flour and turn dough out onto the surface. Divide
dough into six equal pieces, being careful not to overwork the dough. Roll each piece
into an 8 inch log, then gently form into a circle, pinching ends together to seal.
5. Place the bagels on the baking sheet. In a small bowl, crack one egg and whisk well.
Using a pastry brush, lightly brush the tops of each bagel with the egg wash.
6. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to let cool and enjoy with your favorite
bagel topping!
