Why egg

Designer Egg is the better egg.

Whole egg protein has been on our shelf for years and it is still the most under-appreciated protein we make. Here is the case for it.

  1. 1 The protein of three eggs

One serving carries 24g of protein, the same as three regular eggs. It arrives with 50% fewer calories, 93% less fat and 98% less cholesterol than eating them.

  2. 2 No dairy, no soy, no plant blend

If whey upsets your stomach and plant protein tastes like plant protein, egg is the third option. Naturally lactose free because there is no dairy in it at all.

  3. 3 It cooks

Egg protein behaves in a mixing bowl the way whey does not. Shake it, blend it, or bake it into pancakes, oats and muffins.

What is inside

White and yolk, together.

Most egg protein powders are egg white only. We use both, because half an egg is half the nutrition.

  1. The white

A rich source of riboflavin (B2), a good source of electrolytes, and a good source of potassium. 280mg per serving.

  2. The yolk

Left in on purpose. The yolk carries the natural minerals and the B12 that supports energy metabolism. Most egg proteins throw it away.

  3. Together, a complete protein

The full BCAA and EAA profile is printed on the back of the bag rather than hidden behind a blend name.

Ingredients

Natural Egg Protein (Egg White Protein, Egg Yolk Protein), Natural Vanilla Flavor, Natural Flavor, Non-GMO Sunflower Lecithin, Stevia Leaf Extract.

Allergens

Contains egg products. All Designer Wellness products are made in a peanut-free facility.

Directions

Shake it. Add 2 scoops to 8 oz of water, unsweetened almond milk, or your favorite liquid.

Blend it. Add 2 scoops to any smoothie.

Bake it. Works in pancakes, oats, muffins and desserts, which is something a whey protein will not do as cleanly.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place. Settling will occur. A scoop is provided for convenience. Keep out of the reach of children. Packaged by weight, not volume.

Before you buy

Egg is a complete protein with no dairy in it, so it is naturally lactose free rather than processed to be. If whey sits badly with you and plant protein does not taste the way you want, egg is the option in between. It also bakes better than whey, which tends to go rubbery under heat.

Most egg protein powders use egg white only. The yolk carries natural minerals and the B12 that supports energy metabolism, so we leave it in. One serving delivers 75% of your daily B12 and 63% of your riboflavin.

A serving contains 10mg of cholesterol, which is 3% of your daily value. That is 98% less than the three whole eggs it matches for protein.

No. Classic Vanilla tastes like vanilla and Dutched Chocolate tastes like chocolate. The egg is the protein source, not the flavor.

Stevia leaf extract, and nothing else. No artificial sweeteners, no sugar alcohols, and no erythritol.

Yes, and it is the main reason people keep a bag of this next to their whey. Use it in pancakes, oats, muffins and desserts. Egg protein sets under heat the way egg does, so baked goods hold together instead of drying out.

Several factors affect how much protein your body needs, including age, height, weight, metabolic rate, exercise level, stress factors, sleep patterns and the quality and quantity of food intake.

Adding the protein into the water usually solves dispersion problems. A blender is the clear winner for a smooth shake. A shaker bottle is the second best approach: add the liquid first, then the powder, then shake.

Contents are packaged by weight, not volume. Settling happens in transit. The bag holds the weight printed on the front.

All Designer Wellness products are made in a peanut-free facility and do not come in contact with any peanut products during the packaging process.

Eleven servings. One shake a day is a little under two weeks. The 1.55 lb bag doubles that at 22 servings.
